Nation Shaking Prayers

James 5:16-18 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit. (ESV)

All it takes is one Christian to start praying for change. The kind of turnaround only the Gospel can bring. Usually, more saints join the prayer warrior ranks against the fallen prince of dakness, who deceives the whole world.

Righteous men and women have the power at their finger tips (folding of the hands during prayer). When they pray holy prayers, darkness freaks at the thought of the light in peoples lives.

The first century church and Elijah here prayed for Godly changed. They prayed prayers that shake nations and defeat demons. The kind that destroy demonic strongholds and free the captives. The requests that draw us closer to God in Christ.

So, when it comes to experiencing real change in your life and the lives of others, start with prayer. Ask God to teach you how to pray for nation shaking kind of prayers. That way His Kingdom shall come and His will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven.
