Godly Unity In the Church

Psalms 133:1-3

When Brothers Dwell in Unity

1  A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!

2  It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments.

3  It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing—Life forevermore. (NKJV)

  • It is a good idea for the church to be on the same page.

  • We serve one Lord: God the Father God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.

  • They are united as One. Each part of the Godhead/Trinity, has their own purpose and duty.

  • If the churches are going operate together properly, they need to be complete agreement in word, thought, and deed.

  • We must walk, according to the law of love, found in the Word.

  • We must be filled with the Holy Spirit and directed by Him according to the Fathers plan.

  • “God instructed Moses to compound a “holy anointing oil” composed of pure myrrh, sweet cinnamon, sweet calamus, cassia, and olive oil (Exo 30:25). The vessels in the tabernacle were anointed with this holy ointment. It was also used to consecrate Aaron and his sons to the priesthood (Exodus 26-30).” (Nelson’s New Illustrated Bible Dictionary)
