Ephesians Chapter 1:1-2 Greetings

Eph. 1:1-2 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (NKJV)

-Paul was called to be an Apostle by Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit in a vision.

-The saints in Ephesus were faithful and true to the Word and the Holy Spirit.

-They had a personal relationship with God the Father.

-They walked the walked and talked the talk.

-God’s Grace and peace go hand in hand in our lives.

-Let them both govern and direct our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

-The office of an Apostle is still for today. No where in the New Testament does it say it has ceased to be an office of the church.

-Grace: of the merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues. (Thayer’s Greek Definitions)

-Peace: of Christianity, the tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and content with its earthly lot, of whatsoever sort that is. (

Thayer’s Greek Definitions)
